Mr. Hazard is a partner in the firm and practices in the areas of corporate, tax and intellectual property. He represents many nonprofit tax exempt, organizations including trade associations and charities. He provides advice, guidance and planning on tax issues, executive compensation and corporate management and has lectured and written extensively in the fields of nonprofit corporate law, as well as copyright and trademark law. Mr. Hazard is the author of a treatise on copyright law, Copyright Law in Business and Practice, Thomson Reuters, (Supplemented twice a year); also available as an on-line publication on Westlaw. Mr. Hazard graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VPI) with a degree in history and received his law degree from Ohio Northern University where he was a member of the law review. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and Virginia State Bar.
